Get Better Service

•  Don’t pretend your server doesn’t exist, or that she is your personal chattel.
•  Remember you’re not the only table in the place (unless, of course, it’s a slow night and you are) and have patience, especially on busy evenings.
•  Don’t exaggerate—if you don’t like something, don’t claim to be allergic, for example. A simple request to have an item left off a plate will do the trick, without resorting to such statements as “I’m terribly allergic to parsley”.
•  Don’t snap your fingers, yell, or interrupt your server is he’s at another table.
•  Don’t dominate the server’s time by telling jokes or stories or keep them chatting, unless of course, it’s about your meal.
•  Let the server do their job and both parties will be happy
