Bar-B-Que Chicken

Source: Karen Coleman Poultry Plant
Cook Time: 1 1/2 hours Number of Servings: 4

 1 Cup Gingerale
 1/2 Cup Orange Juice
 1/2 Cup Onion, chopped
 1/4 Cup Corn Syrup
 1/2 Tsp Salt
 1/2 Tsp Ginger
 1/4 Tsp Pepper
 1 Whole Broiling Chicken

Instructions:
In a plastic bag combine gingerale, orange juice, onions, corn
syrup, salt, ginger, and pepper.  Add 1 broiling chicken and
then tie bag.  Allow to marinade for 2 hours. Drain chicken,
reserving liquid.  Balance on barbecue spit.  Barbecue, rotating
spit, over medium hot coals for 1 1/2 hours, or until chicken is
tender.  Brush occasionally with liquid.
